About the client:
Beginning in 2009, Pastry Chef Achee initiated his journey, meticulously crafting exceptional and distinctive cakes for his dedicated patrons. Now, seeking a fresh and contemporary identity, he aspires to imbue his brand with a modernized appearance and ambiance.
The challenge was to create a logo, rebrand, and website for Achee’s Cakes that strikes a balance between tradition and modernity. This involves honouring the brand’s heritage while infusing it with contemporary vibrancy and offering a cohesive and engaging user experience on the website.

Achee’s Cakes rebrand combines tradition with modernity across the logo, rebrand, and website. The logo fuses classic elements with a fresh color palette, reflecting heritage and a contemporary outlook. The website tells Achee’s Cake’s journey, from its roots to a modern hub, providing a visually captivating, user-friendly platform that unites tradition and innovation in the digital era.
After implementing the re-branding and launching of the new responsive website, Achee’s Cakes witnessed an impressive 30% surge in cake orders and a significant 15% increase in revenue within just a few months.
I made a comprehensive plan that outlines how user experience principles and objectives will be applied to design and develop a product to meet both user and business goals effectively.
I conducted a SWOT analysis of Achee’s Cakes to gain a deeper insight into their market position.
I analyzed the competition to know how to stand out in a specific need. This was completed in the form of S.W.O.T. I analyzed three websites, two of which are direct competitors and one is indirect.
NOTE: There were a few more websites that I analyzed, the ones that deal with wedding photography.
I opted for a pastel colour palette for Achee’s Cakes, creating a distinctive and modern visual identity that leaves a lasting impression on the audience.
In terms of typography, I opted for the Southampton font, a cursive typeface that imparts a sleek and modern flair to the brand.
I designed multiple sketches for the new logo, which effectively showcases the brand’s rich history.
