The goal was to design a logo that captures the very essence of the brand, in an elegant and visually appealing way. I wanted to showcase the brand’s modernity, sophistication, and commitment to offering top-of-the-line beauty and clothing products online. Drawing on my passion for creativity and a keen eye for aesthetics, I am thrilled to have brought ZAAL Beauty’s vision to life with a logo that is both striking and unforgettable, resonating with its target audience and setting it apart in the fiercely competitive online market.

PROJECT SUMMARY

Background:

Umera proudly unveiled her latest venture, ZAAL Beauty, an innovative online beauty and clothing line, which derives its name from the Arabic alphabet “zaal” and also bears the initials of her beloved daughters’ and her nickname. The name itself is a testament to the brand’s distinctiveness and personal touch, setting it apart in the beauty industry.

Challenge:

Designing a logo for ZAAL Beauty that incorporates the Arabic alphabet “zaal” presents an exciting yet challenging opportunity. The challenge lies in creating a visually appealing and cohesive design that showcases the cultural significance of the Arabic letter while maintaining a modern and stylish appeal. Balancing the intricate curves and strokes of the Arabic script with contemporary design elements is essential to ensure the logo resonates with the target audience and effectively represents the brand’s essence. Additionally, finding the perfect color palette that complements the Arabic letter and aligns with the beauty and clothing industry is crucial for conveying the brand’s message. Through meticulous attention to detail and creative exploration, overcoming this challenge will result in a logo that symbolizes the beauty, elegance, and cultural roots of ZAAL Beauty.

LOGO DESIGN PROCESS

STAGE 1:

I created several sketches for the wordmark “ZAAL” and presented them to her, asking her to select her favorite three designs.

STAGE 2:

Colour Palette:
I chose the GOLD colour palette for ZAAL Beauty because it symbolizes the essence of luxury and prestige that the brand embodies. Gold represents opulence and sophistication, making it a perfect fit for a beauty and clothing line that aims to deliver exquisite and high-quality products. Additionally, the colour gold has cultural significance, tying back to the Arabic alphabet “zaal” and the brand’s roots. By incorporating gold into the visual identity, I aimed to evoke a sense of elegance and allure, creating a lasting impression on the audience and establishing ZAAL Beauty as a brand that exudes timeless beauty and excellence.
